A pregnant high school senior from Alabama was forbidden from walking in her graduation. (It was a Roman Catholic school.)
She did it anyway. At the end of the ceremony, she called out her own name and walked the stage.
The father of the child, also a student at that school, walked with no restrictions.
Now, lemme get this straight: this couple had (probably) unprotected sex (as dictated by their religion) and upon discovery of pregnancy, they "chose life" and decided to carry the child to term.
But because she wears the visible signs of the infraction (sex before marriage), she is the one who suffers.
I just hope that, even though it's a private school, a lawsuit is possible for her.

Wow. I have just read through your blog. You are crazy liberal. Just so you know. You are looking through big time liberal rose colored glasses.
What is your purpose in life?
Where did you come from?
Why are you here?
Your current path leads you to miserable answers to those questions. Fortunately, what you currently believe about those answers are not true. If God convicts you....take that chance. He will not tarry with you forever.
Thanks. Are you the same anonymous as earlier?
Anyway, if you think I'm a "crazy liberal," please do tell me why. It's difficult to have a conversation if you don't start one!
It's funny that you say I have "liberal rose colored glasses." Some people say I am looking through dark colored glasses (or see the glass half empty, or am pessimistic, etc) because of my general political views (which, incidentally, I wouldn't necessarily describe as "liberal.")
Anyway, as to your questions:
1. My purpose in life is to seek knowledge and truth. I hope to love and bring happiness to myself and others.
2. I came from Denison, Texas. As to where humans came from--surely biology, philosophy, and religion can inform you far better than I!
3. Why am I here? Well, I'm in this chair, at the computer because I'm bored. I'm at UTD 'cause they gave me money. Again, if you seek more philosophical or religious answers, you'll have to find those yourself. I have mine.
My current path is quite fine, for me. It might not work for you, and I don't ask you to take it.
Please do tell me where my answers are "not true" and why you presume to know them.
Thanks for responding, and I hope you stick around! We can have actual, intelligent conversation. You just have to start it!
